Unfortunately, the ping pong ball was a bit too rigid. I did squish it down quite a way, but after I set up the shot and painted the blood onto the eye, it had sprung back up to its former shape. I couldn't resquish it because it would have ruined the paint and the set-up.
Another little problem is that I had intended to coat the ping pong ball in mineral oil to give it a nice slimy, glossy appearance... but I spent so long making sure that the lighting was just right that I forgot to use the oil! Gah. Oh well.
It gets the point across, that's the main thing.
And anyway... who's to say what stage of being trapped the eyeball is in? The picture might have been taken right at the moment of impact. Hee hee.
