Klaus Nomi was a German performer who died in 1983.
He was known for his operatic vocal style, and his outlandish appearance.

Costume:
The V-shaped piece and the skirt are homemade. The black parts were made from a thick fabric which was lined with interfacing, reinforced with wire, and then painted with Verathane.
The gloves were purchased at a dollar store.
The boots and the black long-sleeved t-shirt were found at thrift stores.
The black leggings belong to my roommate.
Hair and make-up: me. (I shaved off my eyebrows)

These shots were actually taken on two different days. I wasn't quite satisfied with the first attempt, so I shaved back my hairline even further, and did some re-contouring of my face using make-up. I added a cleft to my chin, and defined my cheekbones.
